A School that Prepares Your Child for Life in a Changing World

Welcome to Learnlife. A future-focused international school where children develop the skills, confidence and purpose to thrive in life, not just school.

We nurture a culture of positive relationships, ignite passions, and empower young people to take ownership of their learning. We guide children on personal learning journeys that build strong academic foundations while also developing the real-world skills and mindsets theyโ€™ll need to navigate a changing world with confidence.

Our approach, recognised globally as a leading education innovation, is grounded in research and shaped by the most effective learning methodologies and best practices of top educators worldwide.

Learning here is project-based, purposeful and deeply personal. With creativity, wellbeing, and impact at its heart, our approach invites learners to explore their interests, engage in meaningful projects, and develop core competencies such as critical thinking, problem-solving and resilience.

In a positive, inclusive environment, every child is supported by a personal mentor who ensures they have the attention, encouragement and guidance they need to flourish academically, emotionally and creatively.

Weโ€™d love to welcome you in person so you can experience the joy, curiosity and sense of purpose that define learning at Learnlife.

“Despite his good results in traditional school, my son felt that he could not satisfy all his curiosity and did not enjoy learning. In short, at Learnlife he found the right environment to transform his ideas into concrete projects and enjoy learning. Here, you are learning to learn and trust yourself.

Teaching Ethos

At Learnlife, teaching is reimagined as a process of mentoring, co-creating, and guiding. We believe that when children are trusted, supported, and given agency, they become curious, happy, and autonomous lifelong learners.

Our ethos is rooted in learner-centred, purpose-driven experiences that go far beyond traditional academics. Rather than follow a fixed curriculum, we empower each learner to co-design their own path through real-world projects, personal goals, and deep exploration of their passions.

Our learning guides are a key part of what makes Learnlife unique. They are mentors and coaches who have positive, personal relationships with learners and a holistic understanding of their development.

They nurture autonomy, wellbeing, and the confidence to take meaningful risks, because we believe that learning thrives through curiosity, creativity, and iteration, not fear of failure.

Weโ€™re not just preparing children for the future, weโ€™re helping them create it.

Learn Life Teaching

The experience is unique and totally different from what she would have had in a more conventional environment. It’s an amazing mix of organized freedom to learn in a sustainable, eclectic, and resilient environment! Happy child, happy mom!.”

Designed for children aged 6 to 18, learners can access a dynamic range of open-plan and studio spaces that mirror real-world environments, from culinary arts and carpentry to fashion, music, multimedia, science and robotics.

These professional-grade studios arenโ€™t just places to learn about a subject, theyโ€™re where theory becomes practice, and ideas become action.

Whether launching a podcast, designing wearable tech or prototyping a sustainable product, learners are encouraged to take bold, creative risks in spaces that feel relevant, empowering and alive with possibility.

This is hands-on, learner-driven learning and built for life beyond the classroom.

Learnlife Eco Hub, Barcelona

Eco hub

Pg. Marรญtim, 139, 08860 Castelldefels, Barcelona

Set between the beach and pine forest in Castelldefels, our Eco Hub is an idyllic learning environment.

Children learn in the heart of nature and enjoy weekly outings to the beach and forest, along with regular outdoor learning experiences that connect learners with the beauty and complexity of the natural world.

Inside, you’ll find bright open spaces that encourage deep learning and provide flexible layouts for different activities. What you certainly won’t find is rows of desks.

The Eco Hub reflects its sustainable philosophy. Our spaces are Passive House certified, designed to be energy efficient, low-impact and comfortable year-round. But itโ€™s not just the buildings that make this place unique.

What sets it apart is that learners, along with families and guides, are actively involved in shaping and evolving the space. From co-designing learning areas to giving feedback on how the environment supports their growth, the Eco Hub is a space created by the learning community, not just for it.

A spacious rooftop terrace extends the learning outdoors, offering room to grow with gardening, science, STEM projects and creative arts taking place in the open air.

And just a short walk away, a nearby park provides space for play, movement and sport during daily breaks and wellbeing activities.

In every corner of the Village Hub, learners are encouraged to explore with their hands, think with their hearts, and build with purpose.

โ€œLearnlife is a truly unique place. It is an innovative and nurturing environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, curiosity and discovery. Learnlife has been a great fit for our son. We are watching him grow and thrive in a way that we hadnโ€™t seen before.โ€

Other reasons why families choose Learnlife

Our extracurricular experiences are an extension of our learning philosophy – playful, purposeful and personalised.

Designed around learners’ interests and passions, these activities offer time and space to try new things, build real-world skills and connect with peers in joyful, meaningful ways.

Activities evolve each year after the school day based on learner feedback and community opportunities.

Past activities have included:

  • Creative exploration: music, filmmaking, fashion design, illustration, drama, expressive and visual arts
  • STEM & innovation: robotics, coding, science experiments, 3D printing, and carpentry
  • Movement & flow: surfing, skateboarding, yoga, and sports
  • Languages & culture: Spanish, English, and German
  • Wellbeing & self-awareness: mindfulness, breathing techniques and emotional resilience

We co-create these offerings with our learners, ensuring each child finds space to grow, express themselves, and discover new passions beyond the core programme.

We celebrate each learnerโ€™s unique strengths and are committed to supporting every child to thrive.

We believe that all children have their own superpowers. When a learner has a diagnosed learning or social-emotional need, or if our team identifies that extra support may be helpful, we work closely with families to co-create the right approach together.

Our learner-centred model is designed to adapt to individual needs, nurturing personal growth and community connection. We recognise that every child brings a unique mix of strengths, challenges and aspirations.

Our aim is to provide the right support while building autonomy, confidence and a strong sense of belonging.

Support is coordinated by our Learning Support Lead, who works alongside families, learners and our team to create individual learning plans where needed. These plans are designed to be dynamic and focused on the learnerโ€™s goals, growth areas and evolving needs.

When additional support is required, families may need to bring in 1:1 guidance and weโ€™ll work together to ensure a positive and empowering experience.

To maintain a healthy balance across the community, we do cap the number of learners with higher support needs we can accommodate in each hub.

We currently offer guidance in areas such as:

  • Supporting flexible, self-directed learners
  • Language acquisition for non-native Spanish speakers
  • Extended learning pathways for gifted learners
  • Strengthening executive functioning, literacy and numeracy
  • Social-emotional development, self-regulation and wellbeing

A holistic support team includes:

  • Learning Guides: mentors and coaches who facilitate self-directed, personalised learning
  • Learning Guide Assistants: providing extra support and encouragement in learning spaces
  • Learning Support Lead: coordinating individual plans, offering guidance and maintaining close collaboration with families
  • External specialists (on request): including psychologists, occupational therapists, and speech and language professionals

Our goal is simple: to ensure that every learner feels empowered, capable and inspired to grow in their own way, at their own pace.

“I have two kids here. We started in the US public school system and needed a change, and found Learnlife. My kids are thriving. The community is incredible. Best decision we have ever made regarding education for my children. This is the future of education, and I wish all children had the opportunity to learn in this type of environment!
