My Husband and I are looking to move to Spain via the NLV route and found the process to be quite confusing. Whilst searching for assistance, I came upon Alison and Alistair’s website. I found your roadmap Moving to Spain very helpful, well laid out and easy to navigate. I enjoyed receiving the daily emails. The highlights for me, as a retiree, hoping to move to Spain, (at least for long chunks of time) included info on:
-Navigating the Spanish Visas and having the option of a consultation with a trusted partner.
-The online check list to get organised and store info.
-Healthcare is a big concern of ours and your information and the link to get quotes was extremely helpful.
-Info on renting or buying was informative.
-Another big topic that I am very interested in is advice on transferring money from the US using an online bank such as Revolut and learning why we may need a Spanish bank account.
-I was happy to see Udemy as your recommendation for learning basic Spanish. Our very good friend in California is a key person in that company!
I did not get too involved with the email on taxes yet but when we get further along with this, I will.
-Reading about the comparison in costs between Spain and the US makes me want to speed up this process even more.
