As retirees, we were thrilled to discover MovingToSpain.com as it made our planning so much easier than going at it alone. The experts they made available to us - from immigration legal experts to finance and tax counselors, professional movers and real estate professionals have been invaluable. The advice is always practical and pragmatic. They took our life circumstances and made recommendations that made sense for us. We never were made to feel like we were using cookie cutter solutions. Moving To Spain is a life saver, Alison and Alastair have put together a one stop information site that covers everything you need to know about the move. In my case, I am applying for the Non-Lucrative Visa. The website has a ton of information and their regular Zoom meetings cover all aspects of the move (applying for the visa, how to qualify and get approval; healthcare, both private and public, needed for visa approval; financial requirements and advice; what is and obtaining the NIE, TIE and the PADRON-certificate of registration where you live; Spanish tax system explained; how to pick where to live; guidance on renting or buying; opening a bank account and moving money; moving with pets; moving your possessions and cost and much more). They have partners that help with immigration , tax, financial issues and healthcare requirements, this has been extremely helpful. Also an incredible online moving checklist, moving budget planner and cost of living calculator. I did get one of their packages and had meetings with professionals dealing with the above. The immigration lawyers was a must for me, process to move is quite bureaucratic, their advice is really helpful. And communication with Alison and Alastair was very good. Highly recommend Moving To Spain, saved me a lot of time dealing with this process, no other service was as complete as them.

Love their webinars! A treasure throve of information here. Alistair and Alison are very responsive, and extremely helpful. I have used their insurance broker referral that takes preexisting conditions into consideration.
I was able to get health insurance through the broker with the same company that just days earlier had rejected or offerred limited coverage for us, based on our preexisting conditions, when we applied directly on their website.
I have also used their tax advisor referral for two issues so far.
Great experiences so far.
I have also consumed most of their real estate, banking, nonlucrative visa guidelines.

My husband and I are currently expats living in Ecuador, but are planning to move to Spain next year. Mr. Louis Williams (tax advisor) has been super helpful and is guiding my husband through the w2 transition to 1099. He has answered all of our questions.
My husband is waiting on final approval from his job to proceed and if everything goes well we will reach out to start the DNV process. Our plan is to move to Valencia on July 2025.

Been considering a move to Spain the seed of which was planted over 40 years ago.
It is easy of course to serarch and find people and organisations that can provide help and direction, but such a move requiress caution.
Eventualy came across Alison and Alastair with their open approach and opened contact.

When beginning my journey of considering moving to Spain, in my research I came across MovingToSpain.com. I was relieved to see there was a company who could help alleviate the confusion and make sense of the visa process, as well as taxes, rentals, and all the things one might be considering when embarking on such a journey.

Alison & Alastair reply to my emails, follow up with me and when I was getting absolutely nowhere with my Spanish tax questions (I live in the US and need the right information to get to Spain), they recommended Louis Williams from Entre Trámites who they work directly with.

Louis was unlike two other Spanish tax professionals I had previously chatted with. Louis was helpful, specific and during our conversation used my actual situation and finances to quickly craft a simulation of what my Spanish taxes would look like. It was amazingly helpful as the previous two I chatted with, recommended by others, ghosted me and one charged me a lot for a consultation and still left me nowhere closer to understanding my actual tax burden than when we began. He asked for 600 euros more to give an approximation.

Now I know what for many will be the most worrisome part of such a move. Alison & Alastair followed up to see if I had questions, asked how it went with Louis, etc. They are great people who really care about people and do not drop the ball. I highly recommend them if you are looking for experts to help you move to beautiful Spain. You will not be disappointed!
