Nicola Quinn

Nicola spent the first 11 years of her life in the UK before being packed up with the rest of her parents’ belongings and whisked away to Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Being remarkably stubborn, Nicola always prefers doing things on her own, so she has a treasure trove of knowledge when it comes to Spanish paperwork and red tape that make most people nod off.

While Nicola has lived in various places across Tenerife, she never strays far from the coast. There’s just something about starting the day off with a run along the beach that you can’t beat.

When she’s not working, Nicola spends her time traveling the globe to find out if there’s anywhere that beats the Canary Islands. Her adventures have taken her to more than 20 countries and so far she hasn’t found anything that comes close!

Carne Fiesta. Who could say no to “Party Meat”?

Me piro, vampiro. It means “I’m outta here, vampire” and it’s the Spanish equivalent of “See you later, alligator”.

Fun Fact

Nicola loves animals and fosters sick and abandoned ones in her home. At any one time, there can be kittens in her bathroom, puppies in her guest room, rabbits in her office, and birds in her living room.
