Raquel Moreno (LLB)

Raquel Moreno Marin is a Spanish-qualified immigration lawyer, founder and managing lawyer of BeGlobal Attorneys in Barcelona, and the named regulated reviewer of Moving to Spain’s immigration, residency, and citizenship content.

Professional background

Raquel founded BeGlobal Attorneys in Barcelona to provide immigration, social security, and tax services to EU citizens and their families, as well as to third-country nationals relocating to Spain. The firm advises individual clients and international companies on Spanish migratory matters across the full range of visa, residency, and citizenship pathways.

She read law at the Universitat de Barcelona, graduating in 2006, and completed a Juris Doctor degree at the University of Puerto Rico in 2005. In 2009 she completed post-graduate qualifications in Project Management Development and Legal Cooperation. She has more than 15 years of experience in Spanish immigration law at the international level.

Before founding BeGlobal Attorneys, Raquel worked as a senior immigration lawyer at leading law firms and held earlier positions in London.

Her London experience includes work as a researcher on the International Migration Policy and Law Analysis Project at the London School of Economics, where she was responsible for the Spanish migration law research covering economic, family, humanitarian, and forced migration. She also served as Advice Project Coordinator at the Dadihiye Somali Development Organization, supporting access to legal information for the Somali refugee community, and completed an internship with a European charity promoting awareness of EU rights.

Raquel previously held UK OISC accreditation as an immigration adviser (the UK immigration adviser regulator has since become the Immigration Advice Authority). She works directly with clients in Catalan, Spanish, and English.
